This work deals with all the reply coupons issued since their beginning (in 1907) up to our days. It covers International reply coupons (issued under the management of the UPU), or those of systems used between certain countries (France and its colonies, Great Britain and its colonies, Spain and its colonies, Japan and Manchuria and the Ryukyu Islands, the Spanish-American Postal Union, the Arab Postal Union and CAPTEAO).

There exist lists of catalogues dealing with individual countries or groups of countries, but there has never been published until now a work dealing with all reply coupons brought together.

For each system the first volume:

– has a history (creation, evolution, regulation);

– describes all the successive types (printing, characteristics, deliveries), and brings help for a quick identification, including selling prices and inscriptions in scripts other than Latin;

– puts in order a catalogue of all the coupons issued by each country from Açores (Azores) to Hongrie (Hungary), in French alphabetical order (the official language of the UPU) in chronological order, and according to their selling prices.

While written in French, this work, thanks to the reproduction of inscriptions and overprints, can be used easily by non-French speakers, who will also be helped by numerous illustrations and by a lexicon (French / English / German / Italian / Spanish).

Volume 2 (expected in 2011) deals with the countries from "I" to "Z"

and will be completed by Annexes

  J'espère que mes visiteurs anglophones voudront bien accepter mes excuses mais la traduction en anglais est loin d'être terminée. Cependant on trouvera dans la zone en anglais tout ce qui figure dans celle en français, même si de nombnreux textes y sont encore... en français !
Ce site est maintenant entièrement disponible en langue allemande. Mais les tout derniers compléments faits dans la zone en français sont d'abord inclus en français dans la zone en allemand et y demeurent tels quels quelques jours, avant d'être remplacés par leur traduction.
